Tennis ladder app for singles and doubles club ladders.

Off the noticeboard and onto players’ phones. The ladder keeps itself up to date.

A tennis ladder is the simplest competitive format a club can run: every member has a position, you challenge the players just above you, and a win moves you up. Most clubs keep theirs on a noticeboard or in a spreadsheet one volunteer updates. Rallio runs it on players’ phones, from the challenge to the date to the score to the new order, and nobody has to chase results.

Tennis ladders in Rallio

Built for how tennis clubs run them.

Singles, doubles, men’s, women’s or open

Run a singles ladder, a doubles ladder or one of each, open or for men or women. On a doubles ladder pairs climb together, and either partner can challenge, accept, add the date or enter the score, so a pair isn’t stuck when one of them is away.

Start in a fair order

Use the Red, Orange and Green bands your club already has, or let players add their World Tennis Number or UTR. Until the first result is in, Rallio orders the ladder by rating; after that, new members join at the bottom and climb.

Scores both sides agree

Results go in set by set and the other side confirms them before the ladder moves. If they don’t answer within three days the result confirms itself, and a disputed score goes to the ladder manager.

Book the court, keep the ladder busy

Add your booking link, ClubSpark or whatever you book with, and players see Book a court when they add the date. Each result is announced to the whole ladder a few minutes after it stands, which keeps people challenging.

Chat, safeguarding and privacy

Players talk in the app. Juniors stay protected.

Chat in the app, not another WhatsApp group

Switch on Player chat for a ladder, competition or box league and every game gets its own chat, with only the players in that game in it. The game sits pinned at the top with its next step: accept, add the date, enter the score. Players without chat in the app get their messages by email.

Juniors kept safe

A manager marks a player as a junior at your club. Juniors only chat where everyone in the activity is a junior, so a junior never chats with an adult. A junior’s mobile number isn’t shown to other players, and a game with a junior in it stays inside Rallio, with no WhatsApp prompt.

Report, block and moderate

Any player can report a message, and the activity’s managers see that one message and who reported it. Managers can’t read chats otherwise. Players can block someone, and chats close the day after the game and are deleted 30 days later.

Privacy under UK GDPR

Player data is stored in the EU, never sold and never used for advertising. Club standings are visible to members only, not the open web. Sign-in is by emailed code, with no passwords to leak, and players can delete their account themselves at any time.

Tennis ladders: questions

There’s no fixture list. Players challenge when they want to, and each accepted challenge gets a play-by date. You set the window per ladder, from 3 to 21 days (10 by default). A game past its date shows as overdue and the challenger can claim a walkover.
