Getting started, in plain English.

Tap the join link your organiser shares (usually in WhatsApp or a newsletter) and claim a profile in one tap. You can use Rallio in the browser or grab the iOS / Android app — same account either way.

Post an open game — singles or doubles, whenever suits you — and it goes in the group feed. Set a minimum level or gender preference if you want, then pick from the players who request to join. Everyone gets a push when the game is on. Spotted someone else’s game instead? Request to join it in one tap.

Challenge anyone within range of your position. Once they accept, add the date you’ve agreed (your club’s court booking link is one tap away if it’s set up), play, and submit the score. The other player confirms and the ladder reorders itself. You can have two games on the go at once, and either side can call a game off with no result if it can’t happen.

Yes. Tap any player on the ladder to see their form: wins and losses, recent results, current streak, how long they’ve been on the ladder and how far they’ve moved since joining. Your head-to-head record with them shows on the ranking too.

You play as a pair, and either partner can act for the pair: send or accept a challenge, add the date, submit or confirm the score. Your partner gets a heads-up whenever you do.

You’re placed in a small box of players around your level. By the play-by date you play everyone in your box — challenge them in-app and add the date you agree — and post the result when you’ve played; your opponent confirms it. Points come from playing: a win scores most, taking a set off the winner scores, and just getting the game played scores too. When the box league ends you move up or down a box.

Yes. The notification bell — plus push and email if you opt in — covers the moments that matter: a game you joined fills up, your matchups go live, you’re promoted off the reserve list, someone challenges you, or a score needs your confirmation.

Yes. One account works across every group and club you belong to, and your results and rankings are gathered in one profile across all of them.

Create an account, give your group a name and pick the sport you play. That's it — you're the manager. You can invite the rest of the group afterwards. Setup takes about a minute.

The onboarding wizard does it for you. When you create your group, the same flow walks you through your first mixer or ladder — date, court count, capacity, any level or gender rules — and ends with a shareable link. After that, new activities are a couple of taps from your group page.

Two options. Add players by name and email — they'll get a one-tap invitation. Or share the group's join link in WhatsApp; the first tap lets them claim a profile in the web app, or they can pick up the iOS / Android app.

That’s exactly what it’s for. Rallio acts as your group’s virtual notice board: games get posted and filled in the app, and the playing happens at whichever venue you can book — leisure centres, schools, several different clubs. Ladders, competitions and box leagues carry on virtually between meet-ups.

Open signups, let players add themselves to the list, then hit Draft courts when you’re ready. Rallio generates balanced pairings — you choose whether ability, gender or variety comes first. You can drag-and-drop to tweak before the session goes live.

The first player on the reserve list is promoted automatically and gets a push telling them they’re in. No frantic messages, no half-empty courts.

Create the ladder (singles or doubles, gender, how far up players can challenge and how long they have to play, and whether Player chat is on). Players join, then challenge each other in their range. They agree a court time, play, and submit the score. Rallio reorders the ladder automatically and tells the whole ladder who moved up. Pending challenges, disputes and expiry are handled for you, and you can swap a player on a row without losing its position or history.

Create the comp (sport, format, draw size, level limits) and share its join link. Players self-enter, then close entries and Publish draw to generate a seeded bracket with byes, with an optional play-by date for each round. Players arrange and score their own matches; winners advance automatically, and everyone gets a push and an email as the draw moves on.

Yes. Once the draw is published, the comp’s Settings has a Live board link. Open it on any screen — no login needed — and it shows the round in play with scores, booked games and play-by dates, then the champion when the final is in. It fits a TV, a laptop or a phone, and has a QR code so anyone watching can join the club. Rotate the link in Settings to switch the old one off.

Yes. Until the first result is in you can take the draw back and re-seed it. After that you can still re-pair any round that hasn’t started, move the play-by dates (players who still have to play are told), and settle disputed scores yourself.

Yes, for tennis and squash. Turn on handicaps and Rallio suggests a start for each entry from the players’ levels — the stronger side gives a start, and only the difference between the two is played. You can move an entry’s band at any time, including round by round.

Create the league, share the join link, and seed the signups into boxes by level. Publish the box league with a start and play-by date and the players take over — arranging games, posting results, confirming each other’s scores while the standings update live. When it ends, Rallio suggests who’s promoted and who’s relegated; you confirm or override, and the next box league is seeded in minutes.

No — it sits alongside it. Add your booking URL once and it’s deep-linked from every challenge and game-arranging flow, whatever system you’re on. Rallio handles the people side; your existing tool handles the courts.

Per-section ClubAdmin roles: your tennis captain runs tennis, your padel captain runs padel, each with their own approvals queue for new members. One super-admin per club for the umbrella decisions.

Rallio is free for groups and clubs of any size while we’re in beta — no per-member fees.

Yes — the day-to-day is all in the app. On the night of a mixer you can add or withdraw players, promote a reserve, move people between courts, change the court count and record scores, all from your phone. You can also settle ladder and box league disputes in the app, so nobody is waiting on you getting back to a laptop.

The bigger setup jobs, where a full screen helps: seeding and publishing competition draws, seeding and reseeding box leagues, seeding or reseeding a ladder, and club settings such as levels and members. Sign in at rallio.io with the same account — the app links you straight to the right page.

Yes. Make other members managers so the work doesn’t sit with one person, or put a named manager in charge of a single ladder, comp or box league. Clubs can also give each section its own ClubAdmin.

A way to group players by ability, so mixers draw balanced courts, ladders and comps seed fairly, and players can find games at the right standard. Each player has a rating, your club sets the bands on that scale, and a player’s level is the band their rating puts them in.

Yes. Start from the familiar Red, Orange and Green, or build your own levels — as many as you need, named and described in your club’s words. Managers edit the bands; players only ever see their level.

Yes. Players can add a UTR, World Tennis Number, DUPR, Playtomic level or SquashLevels rating, and Rallio converts it onto your club’s scale. Managers can set or correct a rating too.

Yes — results move ratings. When a player has clearly outgrown their level, Rallio either moves them automatically or flags it for a coach or manager to confirm. It’s your club’s choice, and nobody bounces between levels after one good night.

No, on purpose. Levels balance players within your club, so they mean something to the people you actually play. A sport can also run on ratings alone, with levels switched off.

Yes. Mixers, open games and competitions can be open to everyone or to chosen levels. Players without a level see the activity and can add a rating to join; a player invited through a mixer’s share link gets straight in.

Yes, on ladders, competitions and box leagues. A manager switches on Player chat for the activity, and each game then has its own chat with only its players in it (all four in doubles). Managers can’t read chats; if a player reports a message, the managers see that message.

A manager marks a player as a junior at the club. Juniors can only chat on an activity where every member is a junior, so on a mixed ladder or competition no game with a junior in it has chat. Other players don’t see a junior’s mobile number, and games with a junior stay inside Rallio rather than moving to WhatsApp.

Rallio is run under UK GDPR. Player data is stored in the EU, it’s never sold or used for advertising, web analytics only run once you consent, and players can see, correct or delete their data, including deleting their own account from their profile. The privacy policy has the details.

Signed-in, approved members of your club. Ladders, competitions and box leagues aren’t on the open web; someone with a join link only sees the activity’s name, format and rules until they join.

Yes. In Profile → Account → Communication each player can turn push notifications and activity emails off. The in-app bell keeps everything either way.
