Squash ladder app that keeps your club ladder moving.
Challenge up, book the court, play, climb. No sheet on the wall to update.
Squash ladders are a club tradition: a sheet on the wall or a spreadsheet, and someone who chases the results. Rallio moves the ladder onto players’ phones. Challenge the players just above you, book the court, play, and the ladder reorders itself once the result is confirmed.
Squash ladders in Rallio
Built for how squash clubs run them.
Scores game by game
Scores are entered game by game, to 11, and the other player confirms them before anyone moves. A disputed result goes to the ladder manager to decide.
Ordered by SquashLevels
Players add their SquashLevels level, and Rallio uses it to set the starting order before the first result. Clubs that prefer their own bands can use those instead.
A range that keeps games close
You can challenge the players within your range above you, so matches stay competitive. You set the range per ladder, from 10% to 50% of the ladder, and the time to play, from 3 to 21 days. Players who are away pause themselves, and ranges skip past them.
Run it alongside your box league
Plenty of squash clubs run a ladder and a box league side by side. Rallio runs both for the same members, and results in either move players’ ratings.

Chat, safeguarding and privacy
Players talk in the app. Juniors stay protected.
Chat in the app, not another WhatsApp group
Switch on Player chat for a ladder, competition or box league and every game gets its own chat, with only the players in that game in it. The game sits pinned at the top with its next step: accept, add the date, enter the score. Players without chat in the app get their messages by email.
Juniors kept safe
A manager marks a player as a junior at your club. Juniors only chat where everyone in the activity is a junior, so a junior never chats with an adult. A junior’s mobile number isn’t shown to other players, and a game with a junior in it stays inside Rallio, with no WhatsApp prompt.
Report, block and moderate
Any player can report a message, and the activity’s managers see that one message and who reported it. Managers can’t read chats otherwise. Players can block someone, and chats close the day after the game and are deleted 30 days later.
Privacy under UK GDPR
Player data is stored in the EU, never sold and never used for advertising. Club standings are visible to members only, not the open web. Sign-in is by emailed code, with no passwords to leak, and players can delete their account themselves at any time.
Read the privacy policy or the safeguarding and privacy questions.
Squash ladders: questions
A ladder is one ranking you climb by challenging the players above you, with no end date. A box league puts players into small groups for a few weeks, everyone plays everyone in their box, and the top and bottom players move between boxes at the end. Rallio runs both.
An unanswered challenge lapses after five days. Once a game is accepted it has a play-by date; past that it shows as overdue to the whole ladder and the challenger can claim a walkover. Either player can also call a game off with no result.
Yes. Any ladder can be singles or doubles, and on doubles either partner can act for the pair.
Yes, two at once: typically one challenge up the ladder and one from a player below you.
