Squash box league software for boxes, points and promotion.
The boxes, the chasing and the points, done. The final say stays with you.
Squash clubs run on box leagues. Someone draws up the boxes, chases results, adds up the points and reshuffles everyone at the end. Rallio does the chasing and the points and suggests who moves, and the person running it keeps the final say.
Squash box leagues in Rallio
Built for how squash clubs run them.
Boxes by level
Seed players into boxes using their SquashLevels level or your club’s own bands, and make each box whatever size suits you. Players don’t see each other’s levels; only the manager does.
Everyone in your box by the play-by date
Each box league has a start and a play-by date. Players challenge each box-mate, add the date and court, play, and enter the score game by game. Move the play-by date while it’s running and everyone in the boxes is told.
Points that reward playing
A win scores 3, losing but taking a game off the winner scores 2, and playing and losing scores 1. A game that isn’t played scores nothing. Scores count in the standings at once and the opponent confirms them; a disputed score comes off until you decide.
Promotion and relegation
When the box league ends, Rallio suggests the top two in each box go up and the bottom two go down. You confirm or change the moves and publish the next one. Players who want a break can withdraw, and newcomers are added in.

Chat, safeguarding and privacy
Players talk in the app. Juniors stay protected.
Chat in the app, not another WhatsApp group
Switch on Player chat for a ladder, competition or box league and every game gets its own chat, with only the players in that game in it. The game sits pinned at the top with its next step: accept, add the date, enter the score. Players without chat in the app get their messages by email.
Juniors kept safe
A manager marks a player as a junior at your club. Juniors only chat where everyone in the activity is a junior, so a junior never chats with an adult. A junior’s mobile number isn’t shown to other players, and a game with a junior in it stays inside Rallio, with no WhatsApp prompt.
Report, block and moderate
Any player can report a message, and the activity’s managers see that one message and who reported it. Managers can’t read chats otherwise. Players can block someone, and chats close the day after the game and are deleted 30 days later.
Privacy under UK GDPR
Player data is stored in the EU, never sold and never used for advertising. Club standings are visible to members only, not the open web. Sign-in is by emailed code, with no passwords to leak, and players can delete their account themselves at any time.
Read the privacy policy or the safeguarding and privacy questions.
Squash box leagues: questions
A round robin in small groups. Players are split by level into boxes, everyone plays everyone in their box over a few weeks, and at the end the top players move up a box and the bottom players move down.
Five or six is common: enough games for a proper table, few enough to play in a few weeks. You seed the boxes yourself, so they can be any size.
3 for a win, 2 for losing but taking a game off the winner, 1 for playing and losing, and nothing for a game that isn’t played.
Yes. Seed the first box league by hand. After that each one starts from the last, with the suggested moves applied once you’ve confirmed them.
Yes. Each player sees their box, the live standings and the games they still have to arrange, with a Challenge button on every box-mate they haven’t played.
